99 Words lets you create a story one chapter at a time with a friend or join a story that someone else has started. Each book has two authors that take turns writing chapters (up to 99 words each), until ten chapters are complete. Once the book is completed it can be read by your friends and other users and rated with one through five stars!
CREATE A BOOK: Choose a book cover, a title and a genre and decide if you want to write with a friend or submit the book to the library for anyone to join. You write the first 99 words and then "pass it on" to see where your co-author will take the story. You will get an email when your co-author completes the next chapter and then you can choose to continue the story where your co-author left off or send it back to the library to find a new co-author.
JOIN A BOOK: You can search through books organized by genre and read the first chapter that has been written by another author. If you look what you see, you can continue the story by writing the second chapter. If the author likes where you have taken the story he/she can continue writing and it will come back to you with a new chapter for you to add to.
