Cloud Math Free

By Unbound Software released on: 2009-12-19T04:22:29Z

"Excellent app for practicing and learning math"

Your 5-star reviews and ratings will keep updates coming!

Cloud Math is a fun learning tool for budding Math geniuses, from preschool/kindergarten through elementary. With choices of avatars, great sounds and animation, easy to control levels of difficulty and operations - practicing math has never been more fun!

With animation and great sound effects, Cloud Math presents a set of problems to the player. For each of the problems, several "avatars" with possible answers bounce into view. The player's goal is, of course, to choose a correct answer.

Difficulty level is easily controlled by a choice of operations, number ranges, number of answers to choose from, the number of problems in a set, and an option for a Fail-Safe mode.

For younger players, or simply for practice, choose a Fail-Safe mode that allows the player to successfully get to the right answer, even if it takes a few tries. Choose smaller set of problems - 5 or 7 in a row. Choose fewer avatars on the screen, so it will be easier to make a correct choice.

For more of a challenge, choose to have more problems in each set, select to present more avatars with possible answers on the screen.

NOTE:

This is a free version of Cloud Math. It offers addition and subtraction operations on numbers up to 50. For working with higher numbers, multiplication and division - download Cloud Math.

FEATURES:

- Set your own levels of difficulty by selecting operations and number ranges
- Select your Avatar - cloud, sun, balloon, soccer ball, flower
- Select the number of problems in a set
- Choose the number of avatars on the screen - more avatars for bigger challenge, or fewer avatars with bigger images and text
- Turn the sound effects on or off
- Turn on Fail-Safe mode to let the player always get to the right answer

Basic Math with Mathaliens Lite

By CFC s.r.o. released on: 2010-08-24T02:09:21Z

Lite version contains subtraction in 3 levels 0-10 (Easy), 0-20 (Medium), and 0-100 (Hard). Learning basic math has never been more fun. You will love to see your children making progress in their arithmetic skills while being entertained.

Math with Mathaliens features two basic game types - Mathaliens Bingo and Hunting Mathaliens. Both of these games are designed with kids in mind. They are very simple to use with no time-consuming settings and no confusing interfaces. Just a few clicks and the rewarding learning experience can begin.

In Mathaliens Bingo, the aim is to create either horizontal or vertical pattern of Mathaliens. This can be done by matching correct answers to math questions with numbers displayed on twenty cards.

Bingo can be modified in two ways. There is a possibility to select one of three difficulty levels depending on your child's interest and ability.

During the game, children are kept motivated by the desire to improve their best score at the hardest possible level. Immediate feedback on whether their answer was correct or incorrect enhances learning.

Hunting Mathaliens is a fun game consisting of five levels. The possible modifications to the game are the same as in the Bingo. The object is to get through all five levels. Each subsequent level gets more difficult as more answer choices are displayed and maximum time to select the correct answer gets shorter (the shortest time can be selected in the Settings).

After finishing all five levels, children are rewarded with a new lovely Mathalien creature. All Mathaliens are animated and a child can collect them in his or her gallery.

Based on our two-decade old experience in development of educational software, we made a considerable effort to ensure that this app is as simple and instructive as possible. All the children we showed it to in our research reported improvement in their math skills without tediousness typical of solving math problems in a more traditional way. We hope your children will appreciate and enjoy this app as well.

Math Seeq lite

By Smiley Cat LLC released on: 2009-09-16T11:00:19Z

Welcome to Math Seeq lite!

Math Seeq lite is an educational game that teaches you about mathematical sequences.

Each game first tells you the kind of sequence that you must follow. When you start each level, you are shown a set of numbers that are moving around the screen. You have to tap the correct one in the sequence. If you are correct, you get points for the correct answer and then you must tap the next number in the sequence. The 'Seeq' window at the top of the screen keeps track of the correct numbers that you have selected. You have a pre set amount of time to get as many numbers in the sequence as you can before you progress to the next sequence in the game level. For each right answer you get additional time, but for each wrong answer you may lose time!

The beginner level includes multiples of 1,2,3,4,5. You can use this to practice your basic times tables, which is a big help for elementary school students.

An excellent math drilling and learning tool to help with counting sequences.

Upgrade to the full version of Math Seeq! to get all the times tables in the beginner level from 1 to 9. The full version also includes 3 more complete levels including prime numbers, odd numbers, geometric sequences and even the Fibonacci sequence!

Saves high scores with your name!

Enjoy Math Seeq lite!

Also try "Just Fractions", from Smiley Cat Software. Just Fractions teaches you how to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on fractions. New feature now shows you step by step how to perform fraction math!

Elementary Math FREE

By e4c Solutions, LLC released on: 2009-06-14T07:20:33Z

Learn basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with Elementary Math!! Elementary Math provides the student with a vast array of learning and practicing tools in one package!!!

Elementary Math FREE is the the free lite version of Elementary Math. It is an almost fully functioning version of Elementary Math except:
- Addition ranges from 1+1 to 4+4 instead of 1+1 to 12+12 in the full version.
- Subtraction ranges from 1-1 to 4-4 instead of 1-1 to 12-12 in the full version. The math wheel allows 1-1 to 19-4 in the free version.
- Multiplication ranges from 1x1 to 4x4 instead of 1x1 to 12x12 in the full version.
- Division ranges from 16"u00f74 to 1"u00f71 instead of 144"u00f712 to 1"u00f71 in the full version. The math wheel allows remainders.
- Timed problem sets are fixed at 5s.
- Concentration areas is fixed to ALL.
- Total number of test problems is fixed at 10 problems.

Elementary Math FREE was designed as a preview for the full version of Elementary Math which is for children who are just learning addition, subtraction, multiplication or division in school. This basic math app is divided into two parts: educational tool for learning/studying, and practice exercises.

The three (3) educational learning tools consist of:

1. A Math Wheel - There is a Math Wheel tool where the young student can scroll through three "wheels" (two operand and one operator wheel). When the wheel stops moving, the answer to the expression is updated in the answer window. By playing around with the operand and operator wheel, the student can learn to spot patterns which will help in better understanding math problems.
2. An Addition Table - A zoomable and scrollable "old fashioned" Addition Table is added to help teach students addition and subtraction. Subtraction can be calculated by using the Addition Table "backwards".
3. A Multiplication Table - A zoomable and scrollable "old fashioned" Multiplication Table is added to help teach students multiplication and division. Division can be calculated by using the Multiplication Table "backwards".

The five (5) math practice exercises and drills consist of:

1. Flash Cards - Practice math expressions via flashcards!!
2. Multpile Choice - Pick an answer from a list of 4 possible answers.
3. Problem Sets - A drill built on top of the Flash Card platform, the student will see a math question (for example, 3x4). They will have to type the correct answer into a numerical keypad. The student can go back and forth on various questions (even skipped ones) to double check their answers. When the student presses the "Done" key to complete the test, a report will be generated to summarize the student's performance.
4. Timed Problem Sets - Built on top of the Problem Sets platform, the student will again have to type an answer into the numerical keypad. This time, however, the student will have to answer each question in an allotted time. If the student takes too long, a horn sound will blast and the student will be moved to the next question. The student cannot go back to previous questions in this mode. They can only move forward. At the end of the problem set, a report will be generated to summarize the student's performance.
5. Squared Problem Sets - Similar to standard problem sets except that this practice exercise concentrates on multiplication squares.

A total of three unique users can have their practice exercise settings stored for them:

1. Operators to practice.
2. Specific numbers/ranges that can be tested.
3. # of problems for practice exercises
4. Amount of time to answer a question (only for timed problem sets).

Math Test Mix-Up - LAZ Reader [Level H-first grade]

By Language Technologies, Inc. released on: 2009-12-31T08:00:00Z

KINDERGARTEN TO FIRST GRADE readers will read about two students who experience a dilemma when they don't follow directions to write their names on their tests. Both children end up learning an important lesson and become better students in the process. Discussion questions after the reading help build interest and comprehension. Learner objectives: compare and contrast, contractions.

Learning A-Z provides materials delivered online and through the iTunes Store that help children learn to read, write, and discover the wonders of science. All our materials are leveled so that children can access information at their reading level. Our leveled readers begin at level aa with labeling objects. In level A simple sentences are presented. With each level thereafter the sentences get more complex and the words become a little more difficult.

A QUICK GUIDE IN PLACING YOUR CHILD at the appropriate reading level is to understand that level aa to C provides average kindergarten instruction; D to J—first grade; K to Q—second grade; R to U—third grade; V to Z—fourth and fifth grade. The letters earliest in the alphabet match beginning of the year instruction while letters at the end of each grade range match skills at the end of that grade year.

This book is available as part of a ten-book set in the Level H Library.

KosmicMath

By SlothMedia, LLC released on: 2010-03-25T07:07:04Z

A free evaluation version of the KosmicMath product family for the iPhone or iPOD-Touch (see KosmicMath Lite HD for iPad versions)

KosmicMath is a mathematical drill instruction application built to support and reinforce mathematical tables and educational scope & sequence requirements covering Preschool through 4th grade.

The Lite edition supports an in-app purchase and licensing model whereby the Family 5 player / 5 grade edition or any combination of single player single grade versions may be purchased. (Note these may also be purchased and download under separate SKUs in the iTunes store if you prefer.)

KosmicMath is a space exploration game that uses NASA imagery, themed animations and sound affects creating an immersive educational experience. Two modes of play, Mission and Drill, encourage children to master their math tables and chart their progress. At the heart of KosmicMath is a proprietary problem generation algorithm which mimics human instruction, by generating problems that are always appropriate to the player's grade and experience level. KosmicMath's problem generation algorithm tracks all student success and failures - constantly adjusting to each players' unique learning requirements. The KosmicMath problem generation engine automatically adjusts the player's difficulty and settings as they progress through 25 increasing levels of challenge. KosmicMath monitors player response gathering over 170 data points per play session. In addition, KosmicMath gathers and reports each player's performance indicators including: mission scores and drill / test results. Player performance data is individually maintained for each player.

Children are promoted when scoring 80% or higher across all required operands for their grade level. Promotion increases the problem number size and problem difficulty by reducing the amount of time allowed for answering the problem. In addition, the number of correct problems is increased as the student shows proficiency in the lower number sets; thus continually challenging the student towards demonstrated mastery of their elementary math tables. KosmicMath supports 5 promotion levels: Cadet, Navigator, Co-Pilot, Commander and Admiral.

Parents who provide a valid email address will receive email notification of promotions, achievements and drills as they happen. In addition they may log onto the KosmicMath web site www.kosmicmath.com and view summary performance graphs and performance details for their child's mathematical development. Each mission and drill taken can be reviewed in summary and detail form on the WEB site.

The KosmicMath WEB portal provides a unified student dashboard which displays Mission and Drill progress over time and for each player. Performance graphs show children's mathematical proficiency by operand and within their learning requirements for each grade level. KosmicMath features two modes of operation: Mission & Drill - Multi-level reward system encourages continued play - Problems generated follow the Scope and Sequence operation and number sets approximating the school year - Problem generation algorithm will not generate problems outside of a students current grade and experience level - Problem generation algorithm self monitors student performance and adjusts difficulty striving for mastery - Detailed and summary performance tracking by player - Email notifications of progress and rewards - Email notification of completed drills with problems and player answers - Player roaming capability -- allows players to pickup any licensed KosmicMath device and continue their play where the last left off.
