touchyMath

By Joel Martinez released on: 2010-09-16T02:22:56Z

Math at your fingertips! Really! Solve basic algebraic equations as if they were a puzzle, using tapping and dragging! touchyMath is for visual learners making the jump from Arithmetic to Algebra.

For example, if you have the equation t - 3 = 2 , simply move 3 to the other side of the equation by dragging the number with your finger. Then tap 2 and then 3 to add them up. You can solve equations with a few moves of your fingers.

Solve equations with one first-order variable with the touch of your finger. Examples of equations that you can solve with touchyMath:
3 = 3 - 2 t
43 = 2 * (x - 7) + (3*x + 20/5)

The equations that you can use in touchyMath have the following characteristics:
- First-order only (no exponents)
- Real numbers
- One variable per equation: 3 = 3 - 2 t
- Addition and subtraction
- Multiplication and division

Features:
- Work through your equations in a single canvas using tapping and dragging
- See a summary of your work showing the steps you took to get to the answer
