PhotoText requires manual input of the text, as it doesn't have an optical character recognition feature, so don't expect it to do all of the work for you.
You may also use PhotoText as a quick photo-note as the last photo stays on the screen at the next app launch.
The camera functionality is only available for the iPhone, but you can use images in from your library if you have an iPod Touch.
