Peds ED lite

PEDIATRIC ED LITE

From age or weight to situation specific drugs & doses in 2 touches.

We all know that one of the hardest things about dealing with very sick children is the wide variety of sizes they come in!

Currently we use "u2018guesstimate' formula for weight, based on age in years, and then derive the correct doses of various drugs either from memory or formularies, whilst simultaneously dealing with the acutely sick child.

These guesstimates are known to be inaccurate, but referencing against the gold standard charts is hugely time consuming in the acute situation.

Peds ED converts the age of the child in weeks, months, or years (including premature babies) into weight by referencing to WHO weight charts, increasing accuracy by up to 25%.

Paeds ED then offers the user a list of emergency clinical situations to chose from.

EMERGENCY SITUATIONS:

Key Resus Data
Pain Ladder (Touch)

DRUGS & EQUIPMENT

ET Tube Size
Defibilation Energy
Fluid Resus
Adrenaline
Glucose
Acetominophen
Ibuprofen
Diclofenac
Codeine
Morphine

STAT GrowthCharts\u2122 WHO

By Austin Physician Productivity, LLCreleased on:2010-08-03T06:46:30Z

Calculate childhood height, weight, BMI, head circumference, and weight for height percentiles based on the new WHO Child Growth Standards.

Reference: WHO Child Growth Standards: Methods and development: Length/height-for-age, weight-for-age, weight-for-length, weight-for-height and body mass index-for-age

The WHO Multicentre Growth Reference Study (MGRS)

The WHO Multicentre Growth Reference Study (MGRS) was undertaken between 1997 and 2003 to generate new growth curves for assessing the growth and development of infants and young children around the world.

The MGRS collected primary growth data and related information from approximately 8500 children from widely different ethnic backgrounds and cultural settings (Brazil, Ghana, India, Norway, Oman and the USA).

The new growth curves are expected to provide a single international standard that represents the best description of physiological growth for all children from birth to five years of age and to establish the breastfed infant as the normative model for growth and development.

Looking for the CDC growth charts? See STAT GrowthCharts LITE (free app) or visit statcoder.com for the App Store link.
