In the full game, you can spend your credits with the "u2018Shaper' where you can design (and upgrade) your Surfboard. Changing the template, shape, fin assignment and graphics will radically alter the dynamic of the board in the water, allowing you to get just the right combination of speed, carving and stability you will need to progress.
The game is set within a full 3D environment and employs slow-motion and action cameras to give a cinematic experience.
This is not a surfing simulation as such, the emphasis here is on fun, so expect devastating 'over-the-falls' wipe-outs, expect to pull loads of hyper-real board tricks, (grabs, flips, handstands, headspins, hang10's, etc.), expect scene setting 60's style Surf Music... Oh, yes, and expect shark infested water too!
To ease you in, this game starts slow, but gets really fast. As such it uses the touch-screen (rather than the accelerometer) as a control system - this puts the action at your fingertips and you in direct control of the board with the fastest response time - you will need it.

ABOUT PREDICTIONS
Predictions are based on the harmonic method, using constants from the Hydro offices (UKHO, SHOM, NOAA, BOM, CHS etc). There are differences between the app predictions and the official Hydro office tide tables, as these are based on large numbers of constants that are not made publicly available. The app's tidal curves are almost identical to those produced by the Hydro offices, it is only the choice of peaks that may differ. The Hydro offices consider the harmonic method used in this product appropriate for navigation.
Always consult tidal curves and take into account local weather (pressure and wind) and swell conditions, which can have a very significant effect on sea water levels.

Shralp Tide does not include all of the tide stations in the world. It has good coverage of the US and Canadian coasts as well as Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Beyond that there is spotty coverage of international locations.
As of version 1.1.1, currents will no longer be available in Shralp Tide because they were a source of confusion to those expecting only tides. If enough people vote YES to seany's review I'll add currents back in a future release. I just need to clearly distinguish currents from tide stations to reduce confusion.
